About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, your key responsibility will be to provide leadership to the team of Operators and manage on-site mobile rock crushing operations.
Your day-to-day duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant;
- Identifying and rectifying faults and safety discrepancies;
- Setting team goals, delegating tasks and setting deadlines; and
- Measuring team performance and providing feedback.
The working hours for this position are generally between 6 am – 6 pm Monday to Friday, working approximately 52.5 hours per week, with some flexibility around the actual hours worked.
About You
To thrive in this role, you will have previous experience operating and maintaining mobile crushing plants and/or crushing and screening plants. You will also possess a strong Mechanical Aptitude and have experience with machinery, assembly plants, etc. Experience in the Quarry or crushing is an advantage.
Importantly, you will have a demonstrable history of meeting production targets and a motivation to enhance production quantity whilst maintaining high-quality production standards.
Moreover, strong leadership skills such as leading by example and ensuring respect and accountability are consistently displayed throughout the team are a must.
You will maintain a presence on-site and commit to building a strong team whilst also managing maintenance personnel in and outside of working hours. Strong communication skills will be essential, as will your ability to conduct difficult conversations with stakeholders when required.
A positive, open mindset and a can-do attitude will be critical to your success in this role!
